El Dinamic de Bcn

Hugely popular with a young crowd, El Dinamic can be a tricky place to find a table. The space barely hides its workshop origins, and the wait staff can be tricky to flag down, though when they do get around to it there are some nice tapas bites to be had here and a selection of local craft beers.

Open: Wed & Thurs 5:00pm – midnight; Fri 5:00pm – 1:00am; Sat 1:00pm – 1:00am; Sun 1:00pm – midnight

Federal Café

On-trend Federal Café attracts the hipster set

An Australian-themed hipster café in Parliament street, that’s not too hampered by its coolness.

Okay – you may have to fight your way past the computer-wielding coffee drinkers who treat the joint like a co-working space, but it is worth it. The brunches are excellent, and lunch is not shabby either. Plus coffee and cakes. What’s not to like?

Kangaroo burger at Federal Café

The burgers are excellent, and while a kangaroo burger sounds completely out of place here, it is one of the best burgers in Barcelona.

Apparently there are queues on the weekends. (There’s another outlet in the Gothic quarter.)
